Jesus’ Heart: Truth and Compassion Together
Jesus never affirmed sexual behavior outside God’s design, but He also never weaponized truth. He ate with strugglers, welcomed the ashamed, and called everyone to turn and live (John 8; Luke 7).
For teens and singles who say, “I feel like I was born this way,” Scripture doesn’t debate your experience of desire—it reframes it. In a fallen world, all of us carry disordered desires in different ways. The call is not to deny your humanity, but to offer your whole self to Christ (Romans 12:1–2)—mind, body, longings, and story.
Paul’s Pastoral Clarity: A New Way to Be Human
Paul’s lists (e.g., 1 Corinthians 6:9–11) are not aimed at singling out one group; they gather all of us who have stepped outside God’s boundaries. The good news is the same for everyone:
“Such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified…” (1 Corinthians 6:11)
In Christ, forgiveness is real, transformation is possible, and community is essential. The church must be the safest place to bring our secrets into the light and walk a long obedience together.
