Faith and Future: The Christian Lens
In Proverbs 16:3, Solomon writes, “Commit your works to the Lord, and your plans will be established.”
For educators and students alike, this verse reminds us that true success is not determined by where you start, but by whom you serve and how faithfully you pursue your calling.
Whether it’s Penn State or UWI, Harvard or UB, the question isn’t simply “Where did you go?” but “What did you do with what you were given?”
The measure of an education is its purpose—not its prestige.
Bridging the Divide
For policymakers and education leaders, the takeaway is clear:
1️⃣ Invest in Quality, Not Just Quantity. Expand faculty development, facilities, and research opportunities at local universities.
2️⃣ Build Internship and Exchange Pipelines. Caribbean students need access to global experiences without leaving home permanently.
3️⃣ Strengthen Employer Partnerships. Businesses should collaborate with universities to align programs with market needs.
4️⃣ Champion Equity in Access. Scholarships should reward talent, grit, and community impact—not just grades.
When education becomes both relevant and relational, its value multiplies—no matter where it’s earned.
