A Broader Impact Beyond Employment
What I find most compelling is that the value of education extends beyond income.
Higher education is associated with:
- Lower poverty rates
- Greater civic engagement
- Reduced reliance on social support systems
- Increased social mobility across generations
In other words, education strengthens not just individuals—but entire societies.
This is why, in my work across The Bahamas and beyond, I continue to emphasize education as a tool for national development, not just personal advancement.
A Biblical Leadership Perspective
As a Christian educator, I cannot separate education from stewardship.
Scripture reminds us:
“Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed.” (Proverbs 11:14)
Financial decisions—especially those related to education—require wisdom, counsel, and foresight.
And yet, we are also reminded:
“And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:19)
There is a balance between responsibility and faith. We plan wisely, but we trust God’s provision.
Education, in this sense, becomes both a practical pursuit and a spiritual journey.
