2️⃣ Jesus Was Transformational — But Never Self-Promoting
Modern leadership theory calls Jesus transformational. Scholars describe transformational leaders as those who inspire vision, challenge assumptions, elevate morality, and develop followers.
That fits.
But here’s the difference:
Secular transformational leadership can become self-consumed, power-oriented, and personality-driven.
Jesus was transformational — yet self-emptying (Phil. 2:5–8).
He restored Peter (John 21).
He elevated the marginalized (John 4).
He challenged distorted religion (Mark 12).
He saw generations ahead (John 17:20).
His transformation was never about Himself.
It was always about restoring people to the Father.
If our leadership does not move people toward holiness and wholeness, it is incomplete.
