A Word for Us Today
Not everyone who fails does so because they hate God.
Some fail because they were formed in broken systems and never learned how to fully trust Him.
Saul was not evil at first.
He was unformed.
Samuel knew better.
David would learn better.
Saul never did.
The question this story leaves us with is not merely about Saul.
It is about us.
Where have we learned to obey almost?
What have we spared that God has told us to surrender?
And what are we still explaining—when God is calling us to obey?
“To obey is better than sacrifice,
