Scene 1: The Promise of a Messiah – The Angel Visits Mary
Luke 1:30–31
“But the angel said to her, ‘Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God.
You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus.’”
Entering the Scene
Imagine being a teenager in a quiet village, doing everyday tasks, when suddenly heaven breaks into your world.
That’s Mary. Young. Unknown. Ordinary. But chosen.
For hundreds of years, Israel waited for a Messiah—someone who would break oppression, restore hope, and bring salvation. Every family prayed, “Lord, let the Messiah come.” But no one expected the promise to be fulfilled through a girl whose life looked simple, small, and hidden.
That is the beauty of God’s story—He steps into unexpected places and chooses unexpected people.
