His Deity: God Revealed in Flesh
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” — John 1:1 (NASB)
“For in Him all the fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form.” — Colossians 2:9 (NASB)
Jesus didn’t become God; He was God from the beginning.
Cottrell affirms: “The deity of Christ is not derived; it is inherent. He did not become divine by obedience — He obeyed because He is divine.”
Christ accepted worship (Matthew 14:33), forgave sins (Mark 2:5–7), and claimed eternal preexistence (“Before Abraham was born, I am,” John 8:58).
John MacArthur calls Him “God in human flesh, the perfect revelation of the invisible God.”
