The First Confession
A Roman centurion—an outsider—looks up and declares:
“Certainly this was a righteous Man!” (Luke 23:47)
Or as Matthew records:
“Truly this was the Son of God!” (Matthew 27:54)
The first clear confession at the cross…
comes not from a disciple—
but from Rome.
Good Friday Reflection
The cross is not the end.
It is the center.
What looked like defeat…
was victory.
What looked like weakness…
was power.
What looked like death…
was the doorway to life.
The King has been lifted up.
And in being lifted…
He has drawn the world to Himself.
