Celebrating the legacy of Dr. John MacArthur – From his message entitled “The People who missed Christmas.”
Featured Scripture
“…there was no room for them in the inn.” — Luke 2:7
Bethlehem throbbed with noise the night Christ came. A census had swelled the population beyond anything the small Judean village could bear. Travelers pressed into every corner, merchants shouted over one another, families scrambled for space, and the air pulsed with exhaustion.
At the center of this frenzy stood an innkeeper—overworked, overwhelmed, and probably frustrated. When Joseph and Mary appeared asking for lodging, they were not the first, and they certainly wouldn’t be the last. His response was simple, honest, and heartbreaking:
“There is no room.”

Not because he despised them.
Not because he rejected God.
But because he was full—full of responsibility, pressure, busyness, noise, and the demands of a crowded city.
And so the innkeeper became the first person in history to miss Christmas.
