The Weight of What Was Lost
For the disciples, this day is heavy.
Everything they had believed… now feels shattered.
- The Messiah has been crucified
- The Kingdom has not come as expected
- The Teacher is gone
And with Him… their understanding.
They do not yet see Sunday.
They only feel Saturday.
The Faithfulness of the Women
Yet even in grief, some remain attentive.
“The women… prepared spices and fragrant oils” (Luke 23:56).
They cannot act yet—the Sabbath restrains them.
But they prepare.
Because love does not disappear in silence.
It waits.
It honors.
It remains ready.
