What the Caribbean Can Learn
While this story unfolds in a U.S. context, the lessons ring true for the Caribbean—where many educators face similar divides. Too often, schools prize tenure over transformation or innovation over memory. But reform comes from honoring both experience and experimentation. Regional leaders can mentor, train in emotional intelligence, and celebrate collaboration. Collaboration, when guided by humility and vision, can strengthen the fabric of our schools.
Faith in Leadership
Leadership in education is not just administrative—it’s pastoral. As Romans 12:12 reminds us, ‘Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.’ Conflict is inevitable, but with empathy and structure, it becomes an opportunity for transformation. In P.K.I.’s case, what began as tension became teamwork—and a model of faith-based professional growth.
