    🕊️ THE WAY | DAY 5 — The Leader’s Daily Walk

It takes discernment to see God’s hand in its early form, courage to defend people others misjudge, and humility to celebrate another leader’s rise.

Barnabas — The Leader Who Sees Potential

    Scripture: Acts 11:23–24

“When he arrived and saw what the grace of God had done, he was glad and encouraged them all…”

Barnabas didn’t build walls, fight battles, or call down fire from heaven. His gift was quieter — but just as powerful: he lifted others.

When the early church wasn’t sure what to do with a newly converted Saul, Barnabas stepped in. He saw past Saul’s past and into his potential. He vouched for him, walked with him, and helped launch the ministry of the man we now call the Apostle Paul.

Later, when the church in Antioch needed steady leadership, Barnabas was sent — and Scripture says he “saw the grace of God” and encouraged the believers to remain faithful. Where some leaders see problems first, Barnabas saw grace first. He strengthened what God was building rather than criticizing what wasn’t perfect.

Encouragement is not soft leadership — it is spiritual leadership.
It takes discernment to see God’s hand in its early form, courage to defend people others misjudge, and humility to celebrate another leader’s rise.

Barnabas reminds us that leadership is not always about being the voice in front. Sometimes, it is about being the voice behind someone else’s destiny.

    Reflection Questions

    1. Who in your life needs a Barnabas-style word of encouragement today?
    2. Do you tend to notice faults first or grace first?
    3. Is there someone whose potential God is asking you to affirm?

✝️ Walk the Way. Lead with Grace.
