What Cannot Be Ignored
Despite differing interpretations, certain realities stand firm:
- The Jewish people originated in ancient Israel
- Jewish presence in the land never completely disappeared
- Modern Israel exists in part because of this historical connection
This makes Israel unique among nations.
Its story is not simply ancient history—it is living history.
A Final Reflection
For believers, the story of Israel ultimately points beyond borders and conflicts.
It points to a God who works through history.
The apostle Paul writes:
“The gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.”
— Romans 11:29
From Abraham’s journey to the present day, Israel’s story continues to unfold.
Whether one sees modern events as prophecy fulfilled, prophecy in motion, or history repeating itself, one truth remains:
This is one of the most remarkable continuities in human history.
And it reminds us that even in the midst of global uncertainty, history is not random.
It is being written.
✦ The Way Reflection
History is not just about nations.
It is about God’s purposes moving through time.
To understand today, we must learn to see yesterday clearly.
