The Crowd, The Fragrance, and The King

Everything is now in motion. Bethany has set the stage. The fragrance still lingers. The evidence is walking. And Jerusalem is about to respond.

The Collision of Belief and Opposition

John gives us one final insight—often missed, but critical:

“The Pharisees therefore said among themselves, ‘You see that you are accomplishing nothing. Look, the world has gone after Him!’” (John 12:19)

    This is the turning point.

    • The crowd is swelling
    • The testimony is spreading
    • The leaders are threatened
    • The King is entering

    Everything is now in motion.

    Bethany has set the stage.

    The fragrance still lingers.

    The evidence is walking.

And Jerusalem is about to respond.

    The Way – Reflection

Before the cross, there is a table.
Before the crucifixion, there is a crowd.
Before the silence of the tomb, there is the voice that calls the dead to life.

    But the question remains:

Will we respond like Mary—seeing, surrendering, and worshiping?
Or like the crowd—celebrating without understanding?

Because the same Jesus who raised Lazarus…
is now walking toward His own death.
