Peace in a Locked Room
That evening, the disciples gather behind closed doors.
Fear still lingers.
The cross is still fresh.
And suddenly—
“Jesus came and stood in the midst, and said to them, ‘Peace be with you’” (John 20:19).
No knocking.
No warning.
Just presence.
He shows them His hands.
His side.
The wounds remain… but they are no longer marks of defeat.
They are evidence of victory.
And fear turns to joy.
From Doubt to Declaration
But one is missing.
Thomas.
When he hears, he resists:
“Unless I see… I will not believe” (John 20:25).
A week later—Jesus comes again.
And this time, He speaks directly to doubt:
“Reach your finger here… Do not be unbelieving, but believing.”
Thomas responds:
“My Lord and my God!” (John 20:28)
This is the clearest confession yet.
From doubt… to worship.
