From Jerusalem to the Ends of the Earth
“…in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
The mission unfolds outward:
- Jerusalem → where the story reached its climax
- Judea → the surrounding region
- Samaria → the unexpected, the divided
- The ends of the earth → everyone, everywhere
The Gospel will not stay contained.
It will move.
The Ascension
And then…
“While they watched, He was taken up, and a cloud received Him out of their sight” (Acts 1:9).
No struggle.
No resistance.
No delay.
The risen King… ascends.
Not disappearing—
but returning to His rightful place.
Enthroned.
Reigning.
The Question That Shifts Everything
The disciples stand there—looking upward.
Watching.
Wondering.
And then two angels speak:
“Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven?” (Acts 1:11)
Why are you still looking up…
when you have been sent out?
