The Stone Rolled Away: When Death Loses Its Hold

Inside the tomb, they do not find a body. They find a message. “Why do you seek the living among the dead? He is not here, but is risen!” (Luke 24:5–6) Everything shifts.

    The Announcement That Changes Everything

Inside the tomb, they do not find a body.

    They find a message.

“Why do you seek the living among the dead? He is not here, but is risen!” (Luke 24:5–6)

    Everything shifts.

    Death is no longer final.
The grave is no longer victorious.
The silence of Saturday is broken.

    The words Jesus spoke…
    are now reality.

    Fear, Wonder, and Running Faith

The women respond with a mixture of emotions:

    Fear.
    Amazement.
    Urgency.

“So they went out quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy, and ran to bring His disciples word” (Matthew 28:8).

Fear… because this is beyond comprehension.
Joy… because something impossible has happened.

    Faith… now begins to run.

    The Disciples Struggle to Believe

When the message reaches the disciples:

“Their words seemed to them like idle tales, and they did not believe them” (Luke 24:11).

    Even now…
    understanding lags behind reality.

    Peter runs to the tomb.

    He sees the linen cloths.

    But still… questions remain.

Because resurrection is not easily grasped.
