God Equips the Leader for Service
Genesis 40–41
Throughout Joseph’s life, God empowered him with remarkable gifts of wisdom, discernment, administration, and dream interpretation. Joseph consistently acknowledged that these abilities did not originate within himself.
When Pharaoh sought an interpretation, Joseph responded,
“It is not in me; God will give Pharaoh a favorable answer.”
Rather than drawing attention to his own brilliance, Joseph directed attention toward God.
His gifts became instruments of service rather than self-promotion.
